April showers may bring spring flowers. More certain is the fact that our teachers are hard at work preparing your child for the spring CST exams in May. Standardized test are tough. Help your child handle tests by encouraging him or her to try his best, but don’t put so much emphasis on them that they feel stressed. Practice the format. For example, your child will be asked to read a paragraph and answer questions. Using one of his text books, have him look at the questions at the end of a section first and then read the passage. Limit activities the nights before the tests. Be sure your child gets to bed on time and sets the alarm for the next morning. Provide an energy-boosting breakfast or arrive on time for a school energy breakfast on test days
